Thank you very much to Liz Longley who has sent the club a cheque for £450 in commemoration of her mother's Olive Pegg's 100th birthday on 28th May 2009. We plan to buy a piece of equipment in her name and will update with the details when agreed at committee. A very big thank you to Toms Holidays Ltd for £712.07 re donations collected during the last 2 seasons in the charity box in their office. We are extremely grateful for their support and have put the money towards a new rescue board - see the link to their website on "links" page.
A huge thank you to the Jolly & Trewhella families for, at very short notice (the night before), running a tombola stall and quess the name of the elephant at the Fun Day on Hayle Recreation ground on Sunday 2 August 2009. They raised an incredible £535 for Club funds!!!!!
A very big thank you to Nippers, Esme & Freya Adams dad, James who very generously at our recent club do donated £500 towards the cost of Nipper rash vests for our Nipper sessions on the beach. James has donated the money from his business - Ladydowns Christmas Trees - and will also donate a Christmas Tree for our Clubhouse in December. James sells his Christmas trees during December from the side of the road in Long Rock, nr Penzance - next to Chris Nicholls Motors on the main road. A huge thank you to Duchy Hose & Hydraulics Ltd who together with c-skins wetsuits & CJB Surf presented the Club with a Rescue Sled for our Jetski (donated to the Club by Penwith DC). The £1000 sled will be a great asset to us when we are using the Jet ski as water safety cover during our club sessions and at other local organisations events and assisting the RNLI lifeguards on our beach during their busy periods.
