Congratulations to Juniors Matt Trewhella, Nicki Russell, Charlotte Sawyer, Emily Corin & Jordan Roberts who were all selected to compete in the Cornwall Team at the Celtic Cup Challenge at Aberavon, South Wales on Sat 29 August 09. The Cornish Team finished in 2nd place overall and all our Juniors put in fantastic perfomances in all the events they took part in. See photo in slideshow on this page and home page.

OUR 22 STRONG JUNIOR TEAM WHO ATTENDED THE YOUTH NATIONAL CHAMPS AT GYLLYNGVASE BEACH, FALMOUTH ON 16/17 AUG 09 FINISHED IN A VERY RESPECTABLE 5th PLACE OVERALL, THEIR BEST RESULT YET - SEE COMP NEWS PAGE FOR MORE INFO.Individual Medal winners were: - 13 yr olds ? Silvers in Ski race & Ocean Man, Bronze in Surf race. 15 yr olds ? Jordan Roberts ? Gold in 1km run; Rowan Thompson ? Gold in Beach Flags; Kayne Stafford ? Bronzes in Beach Flags & 1km run.Team Medal winners were: - Tube Rescue ? 14 & under: Silver for Nicola Russell & Amy Jolly, Bronze for Matt Trewhella & Ben Tredinnick. Board Rescue ? 14 & under: Bronze for Matt Trewhella & Ben Tredinnick; 16 & under: Silver for Nicola Russell & Emily Corin. Board Relay ? 14 & under: Bronze for Charlotte Sawyer, Nicola Russell & Bethany Prisk.Other team members (all of whom contributed to the overall points score) were: - Sam Trestrail, Lauren Kenchington, Fergus Lee, Andrea Harvey, Tom Onley, Nick Trestrail, Harry Lee, Ben Jolly, Reece Merrett, Jake Janes & Raglan Thompson .(intermediate). Fantastic news - Thanks to Junior member, Jordan Roberts we have been awarded a £4000 grant by "Our money, your dream" for 2 new rescue boards, 2 full size adjutable ski's and a guppy adjustable ski to assist our 14 to 19 year old members to improve their skills. Thank you to Matt Trewhella's Dad for telling us about the fund.

Well done to all our Junior Team who took part in the Youth National Stillwater Champs at Millfield Sch, Street, Somerset on Sun 8 Feb 09. 7th place overall and 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. See Comp News page for more details.

Juniors, Tom Onley & Jordan Roberts at the Ranking event at Bude on Sunday 7 June, they also attended the ranking event at Polzeath on 24 May 09.

From Sun 8 Nov 09 - Winter ski paddling sessions starting at Loe Beach on River Fal at 9.30 am- club skis will be taken down on trailer - please tel or text Steve P on 07814780758 or Alan R on 07934468981 if you are going so that they know numbers - no beginners or less confident paddlers at the moment please.

Congratulations to Junior, Matt Trewhella for being selected by Pete Gaisford of Gaisford Surf Equipment to receive a £200 voucher from the Company - this decision was based on his outstanding performance at the Cornish Championships at Portreath earlier this year.
